Step outside to hear the peace and serene sound of nature and the Guinea Brook. This Passive Solar Contemporary was designed by Charles Woods. It was featured on the cover of Popular Science Magazine in February 1988. Charles was a student of Frank Lloyd Wright and has written 4 books including, “Natural Architecture”, “The Complete Earth Sheltered House,” “A Natural System of House Design,” and “Designing Your Natural House.” There are many angles to this home with an abundance of natural lighting, cathedral ceilings and exposed beams. The interior also features tongue and groove natural cedar throughout. The land is in 2+ acre zoning with this property sitting on 10 and 1/2 acres. The exterior is freshly painted cedar giving it that modern look. This house is located in a rural neighborhood along the Appalachian Trail (hiking) parallel to the Housatonic River and abuts acres of national conservation land. Only five miles from the Mohawk ski area. Lime Rock racetrack is 10 miles north. Enjoy hiking, fishing, hunting, and everything this property has to offer.
